Launching considerations / restrictions:
!Caution If going West on Manasquan from this point, be aware that the railroad draw bridge has little clearance and cannot be paddled under when the tide starts to come in. You would then need to paddle through the SMALL main channel, and will be sharing it with the other boats. The current can be very strong and boat traffic may also be heavy through this channel, with significant wakes.
Parking situation:
Cartop Launching only. After unloading your boat, park on Jackson Avenue, and walk back to putin.
Comments:
Easy access to the Atlantic Ocean via the Manasquan Inlet. (approx. 1.5 miles)
A great place to land and break is on the beach at Osborns Island (aka locally as Treasure Island). Be aware this is also a popular stopover for powerboaters and jetskiers. (approx 2.25 mile paddle)
Harpoon Willies in Brielle offers a great stopover for food and drink and is located just beyond the Rt. 70 Bridge on the north shore of the Manasquan River. (approx. 3 mile paddle from this launch site)
