• From North
• Garden State Parkway South to exit 91.
• Bear right after the toll and go to the third traffic light (there will be a bowling alley on your left).
• Make a left on Rt. 88 east.
• Make right on Rt. 70 West.
• Turn right at first gravel road past bridge across river.

• From South
• Garden State Parkway North to exit 90.
• Make a U-turn at the traffic light at the end of the exit.
• At the next traffic light, make right on Rt. 88 east (there will be an Exxon station on your left).
• Make right on Rt. 70 West.
• Turn right at first gravel road past bridge across river.

Comments:

Forge Pond itself is a pristine, jewel-like pond teeming with wildlife. One also paddles under the Rt 70 highway bridge to access the western end of the Metedeconk River estuary, and then the uppermost (northernmost) end of Barnegat Bay.
