• Garden State Parkway to Exit 58.
• Left on Route 539 to Tuckerton.
• Right on Route 9.
• Go 1/4 mile, make left on Great Bay Boulevard.
• At fork, 2 mi. just over first bridge on right.

• Take Route 70 East.
• To Route 72 East.
• Right on Rt. 539 to Tuckerton.

Note: This site is actually located on Big Thorofare Creek which leads into Great Bay and Little Egg Harbor.

Comments:

First Bridge Marina is open on weekends in spring and every day in summer. In addition to kayak rentals, they have some limited gear and accessories, snacks and cold drinks.

This is good launch site to paddle out into the Little Egg Harbor, and then up the Tuckerton Creek to visit the Tuckerton Seaport and Jacques Cousteau Visitor Center. You can also paddle to the nearby Stewarts Drive In (Paddle In for kayakers!), for a burger, fries and ice cold root beer.
