Driving Directions:

• From North
• Route 55 South to end where it merges with Route 47 South.
• After crossing Route 550 (Leesburg-Belleplain Road), go 1/4 mile.
• Right onto Dorchester-Heislerville Road, drive approx 2 miles into Heislerville.
• Right onto East Point Road. Go 2 miles to East point Lighthouse.

• From South
• Route 47 West out of Eldora approx 2 1/2 miles.
• Left onto Glade Road. Go approx 1 1/2 miles into Heislerville.
• Glade Road becomes East Point Road. Follow to East point Lighthouse.

Parking on sand road leading to launch ramp.

Comments:

Handsome old stone lighthouse overlooking Maurice River Cove and Delaware Bay. Open water. Tidal currents can be strong in nearby Maurice River.

Best to obtain a good Cumberland County map to successfully locate any and all Delaware Bay launch sites in Cumberland County.
