Driving Directions:

• Garden State Parkway to exit 120.
• Follow Lawrence Parkway North toward Route 35.
• Right on route 35 East.
• Take Route 35 East about two miles to Cliffwood Avenue.
• Go right to turn left on Cliffwood Avenue.
• Take the 5th left off Cliffwood (once you are past 35) onto Lenox.
• There will be a ballfield on your right and houses on your left. As you pass the ballfield Lenox curves right and changes name to Lakeshore.
• After about half a mile Lakeshore makes a sharp left and becomes Ocean Boulevard.
• Go past the parking on the left until you get to an unpaved lot on the right.
• Beach is over the dune.

Launching considerations / restrictions:

Beach might be a bit rocky at low tide. The sign might say that the park is closed after dark, but there are no fences or anything.

Parking situation:

There seems to be adequate parking in the lot. If not, there is another lot on the shore side of Ocean Boulevard, next to a playground.

Comments:

This beach is used for fishing by locals, and a few people splashing around. There are signs saying no swimming. It would be a really nice place just to hang out except for the cars zooming down Ocean Boulevard!
