Water type: River

Launch area surface is: Concrete
Facilities: Unknown
Launching considerations / restrictions:
High tide only! The South River is a tributary to the Raritan. This put-in is perhaps two winding miles from the Raritan through marshes. There are loops in the creeks - I'd suggest having a map with you if you paddle here. You can take either Washington Canal or South River to get to the Raritan. No fees or restrictions, except those imposed by nature. At low tide you couldn't get to the water - or back to the shore.
Parking situation:
Park next to the ramp. Adequate parking (unless perhaps there is a little league game or something in the park).
Comments:
Good for creek-exploring for those who live in the area and just want some peace and quiet after work. Probably not a major destination paddle - though at high tide under a full moon it might be rather nice!
