Driving Directions:

• From North
• Garden State Parkway South to exit 44 (Pomona Road - Route 575).
• Follow Route 575 (Pomona Road) to end at Route 40; approx 7.3 miles.
• Take Route 40 West into May's landing.
• At traffic light, follow Atlantic County Route 559 (aka Main St) through Mays Landing past the courthouse.
• Route 559 runs right up to the lake and bears left.
• At blinking light, turn right onto Old Harding Highway and follow signs to County Park. (about 1/4 mile from the turn)

• From South
• Garden State Parkway North to exit 36 (Route 561 North).
• Follow Route 561 North for approx .2 miles to Route 563 North.
• Follow Route 563 North approx 1 miles into intersection of Route 40 West.
• Take Route 40 West into May's landing; approx 10 miles.
• At traffic light, follow Atlantic County Route 559 (aka Main St) through Mays Landing past the courthouse.
• Route 559 runs right up to the lake and bears left.
• At blinking light, turn right onto Old Harding Highway and follow signs to County Park. (about 1/4 mile from the turn)

Launching considerations / restrictions:

No restrictions for non power boats. They only ask you check in at the Ranger station before you put in. Open from 7:30 am until 1/2 hour after dusk.

Parking situation:

Plenty of parking.

Comments:

You can paddle Lake Lenape, head to the far end and paddle up the Great Egg Harbor River which empties into the lake. Lots of wildlife to see. The biggest boat you will see is a small ski boat.
