Driving Directions:

• From North
• Garden State Parkway southbound to Exit 30.
• Proceed straight from the tollbooth on Route 52 for .8 miles to the light at Route 9, then straight through the intersection for another 1/2 mile to the Somers Point traffic circle.
• Go around the circle to the first road on your right then immediately bear left onto Broadway (at the Crab Trap Restaurant).
• Proceed 1/2 mile to JFK Park entrance on the left.

• From South
• Garden State Parkway northbound to exit 29 (Route 9).
• Go 1/4 mile and make a right at the first light onto Somers Pt – Mays Landing Road.
• Go 1/2 mile and just before the traffic circle, make a hairpin right turn onto Broadway.
• Proceed 1/2 mile to JFK Park entrance on the left.

• From West
• Atlantic City Expressway eastbound to Exit 7 South.
• Proceed south on the Garden State Parkway to Exit 30.
• Follow the directions given for "From North".

Launching considerations / restrictions:

! CAUTION This area of the Great Egg Harbor Bay is very open to winds. Currents can be strong with large, choppy wakes from wind and powerboat traffic. **Be very vigilant to HEAVY powerboat traffic in summer**

Parking situation:

Large paved parking lot. Do not block boat ramp. Unload kayaks near ramp and beach area then park car. Beach areas to the right and left of the boat ramp are ideal to launch kayaks.

Comments:

A great picnic spot with children's playground and bayfront beach area with spectacular views of the Great Egg Harbor Bay area.
