• Follow signs to boat launch.

• From South
• I-287 to Exit 14b (Route 22 West). This is near Somerville.
• Continue on Route 22 West approximately 9 miles.
• The turnoff for RV is marked by a sign and a traffic light on Route 22.
• Follow signs to boat launch.

• From West
• I-78 East to Exit 21B. (Route 22 East)
• Continue on I-78 to Exit 18. (Route 22 East)
• Follow signs to boat launch.

There are two launch areas for kayaks at Round Valley:

Day Use Launch: To access the reservoir at the day use public boat launch, you must have either a parking permit (obtained through the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife) OR or a copy of your fishing, hunting or trapping license which should be placed on the dashboard of your vehicle. (You can buy these licenses at many sports shops in NJ. There is a bait shop which sells fishing permits on Route 22 a few miles east of the lake. The shop is on the Westbound side of Route 22.)

Wilderness Camping Launch: If you are paddling out to one of the wilderness campsites, use the alternate launchsite directions below.

Alternate Launch site - For Wilderness camping area:

• Alternate 1
• Wilderness Camping Launch: If you are paddling out to one of the wilderness campsites, you must register at the park's main office and obtain a parking pass to park your vehicle in the designated parking area for campers. Those planning to paddle out to a wilderness campsite need to register or check in at the park office by 4:30 pm. This policy is strictly enforced.
