• Rt 23 North about 1/3 mile past the Park Office and the parking area for the High Point Monument, just before the big downhill into Montague.
• Launch road is about 1/4 mile dirt road on the right that has a sign for the boat launch and Steenykill Lake..

Launching considerations / restrictions:

Free parking, no permits needed.

Parking situation:

Parking on dirt for around 6-8 cars total, including some trailhead parking for hikers. 2 spots for cars immediately for hikers or boaters, otherwise, a short 50ft dirt walk from the main parking area to putin.

Comments:

Shallow in spots, evidence of beaver activity and ducks. Nice small lake, right in view of the High Point Monument and the cabins at High Point. Close to Rt 23, the downside in summer is you hear the motorcycles zooming up and down the hills.
