• From I-295 (runs parallel to NJ Turnpike), Take Route 70 West.
• From route 70 turn onto Cuthbert Blvd going South.
• Then go a few blocks to North Park Blvd.
• Take right to parking area.

Launching considerations / restrictions:

No fee, trailer & car-top boats, No gas motors. There is a sailboat outfitter that takes a good portion of the "lake" area where you launch.

Parking situation:

Dirt and gravel parking lot, no fees, small enough to carry your kayak right to the water. The launch is at the far side of the park. If you skip the first entrance, cross the bridge, and turn right at the next entrance, you will find it a little way down on your left.

Comments:

Mid day you need to paddle along the bank opposite the launch and cross over once you clear the sailboats, which are just beautiful to watch. There is a bike/jog path around the river and a large playground on the bank opposite the launch.
