Driving Directions:

• New Jersey Turnpike to Exit 14B.
• After toll look for Signs to Liberty State Park.
• Take immediate first Right before the bridge.
• Go Straight through light.
• Go straight through the circle with the flagpoles.
• At end of road make right into parking lot.
• Proceed to launch site.

Launching considerations / restrictions:

NOTE: The original launch site at LSP was replaced with a new launch area specifically for Cartop Boat launching. There is no charge to launch or park at the new site.

Please fill in the sign in sheet for emergency purposes. Be careful of rocks at low tide.

Parking situation:

Large parking area with no fees when parking at the Cartop Launchsite lot. Do not park in drop-off area.

Open 6:00am to 10:00pm. Absolutely No parking overnight!

Comments:

Site is often used for Manhattan circumnavigation. There is a lot of dangerous boat and ferry traffic. Tides can be very strong. Very important to stay clear from restricted areas marked by buoys near Statue of Liberty and other marked areas.
