Driving Directions:

• New Jersey Turnpike to Exit 12 (Rahway).
• After toll, take Industrial Avenue [straight after toll] two(2) miles.
• On the left will be the entrance to the park [A blue sign with the name of the park is clearly visible].
• Go to the end of the short road.

• Strong currents
• Major shipping channel
• Post 9/11 security zones near certain structures. See USCG website for details.

Parking situation:

Paved parking lot. Please double up to leave room for trailers.

Comments:

This is so far the most convenient launch site for a paddle to the Graveyard of Ships.

Waypoint for Graveyard of ships is approx. L 40^o 33.369' N    Lo 74^o 13.008' W and is approximately 0.75 miles south of the launch site.

In the parking lot there is a sign stating:
Parking Area A, Pier & Park Use Only
2 Hour Car Parking
ALL OTHERS WILL BE TOWED
BOAT TRAILERS 6 HOUR LIMIT


It looks like there is a six(6) hour limit for boaters. We should put a sign on our car stating we are kayaking (a boater) just to play it safe.
