Driving Directions:

• Bear Mountain Bridge to Route 6 South to traffic circle.
• Follow signs for Route 9 South.
• Right at light onto 9 South.
• Take 2nd exit (Hudson Ave).
• Follow signs for train station.
• Launch area is in park behind train Station.
• (Note) - You can also approach from Route 9 North - same exit.

Launching considerations / restrictions:

Launch Ramp may require fee, especially weekends in season. Suggest carrying onto small sand beach next to ramp.

Parking situation:

Parking in lot by playground. Posted 4 hrs, but no problems reported up to 8. Do not park in train station.

Comments:

Excellent deli for breakfast sandwiches etc across from train station. Hudson can be rough here with tide rips and boat traffic. Watch for ships. Site is close to Iona Island and Bear Mountain Bridge.
