Launching considerations / restrictions:

The park probably has a limit on its hours of use, but it certainly is open during daylight hours.

Parking situation:

There is a parking fee of ~$5. The launching beach is about a 50-75 yard flat carry south of the parking lot.

Comments:

If one is feeling particularly energetic, from the same parking lot one could bike, hike, or run north along the shore path or climb Hook Mt for great views. Picnicking is also available.
